Simone Tocca: Air in the Dead Heat of Summer

Simone by Tocca
Floral Fruity

Simone is a nicely balanced freshie. The notes are mixed well, I can detect only freesia on its own. The rest is combined powerfully – nothing less is clearly recognisable.

Based on the note profile, watermelon and apple give it an ozonic aquatic feel; however, the fragrance does not smell overly young or fruity. There is the distinct floral aspect done by freesia, tropical flowers, in this case, frangipani and ylang-ylang add a pleasant fresh sweetness. The scent is based on musk and wood.

I am used to Tocca perfumes being strong floral bombs, with Stella being my favourite. Simone is not like that at all. Being inoffensive, which Simone definitely is, has its pros but being recognisable is not one of them. This scent is not gonna get you many compliments.

It is a summer freshie without citruses. It is crisp, clean, and dewy. It works great on the beach. It brings me back to our lovely family holidays in Croatia. I used up the whole bottle there.
