Good Girl Blush Elixir: No More no Less Than Sweet Rose Patchouli

Good Girl Blush Elixir by Carolina Herrera
Chypre Floral

I feel like Good Girl Blush Elixir, a flaker of a flanker Good Girl Blush has been released for collectors. It will certainly look pretty on your shelve.

I love Good Girl Blush. It is virginal soft creamy peony and vanilla. Smells beautiful and comforting. Blush Elixir has a rose heart instead of peony and we can clearly smell it is sharper, more pronounced and floral. The rose is accompanied with patchouli in the base which brings us to the fruit juli territory. Blush Elixir is a chypre rose patchouli scent, fiercer, sensual like Damask Rose by Ormonde Jayne.

There is fundamentally nothing wrong with the fragrance. It is another rose-centric scent with an earthy base but it is just something I would not expect from a name Blush. Good Girl Blush is much more interesting, perfumes like her are scarce on the market among designer releases.

Yes, they are different enough to own both but if you have been in the game for a while, you know that the market is over-saturated with sweet rose patchouli. Let’s eventually try something new.

Perfume Empties in 2023: 28 bottles

I cannot believe I have used up 28 perfume bottles in 2023. Yay! Okay, okay, minis, travel sizes, but full sizes too. I have to show mostly summer feminine scents but some heavy stuff also. You can look forward to Vetiver D’Hiver by Armani Prive, Delina La Rosee by PDM, Figues & Agrumes by Maison Lancome and much more.

It is a great feeling to not only display the fragrances but actually use them and enjoy them. In other words, to spice up your daily routine with a bit of aroma. There is something magical about a fragrance … and to see me tenaciously going through them brings me joy. I created this video for you to enjoy as well.

Good Girl Blush: I Am Darling and I Know It

Good Girl Blush by Carolina Herrera
Chypre Floral
Christophe Raynaud, Quentin Bisch and Shyamaia Maisondieu

Good Girl Blush has the core of the original Good Girl but is much softer and creamier. It is a fluffy citrus vanilla fragrance. Independent but also romantic.

It has a sour-sweet opening with bergamot and almond, an incredibly smooth heart of peony and y-lang y-lang and lovely warm vanilla in the base. It can easily be an everyday daytime scent as well as a seaside paradise type of perfume. If you like the discontinued Si Fiori by Armani, you will like Good Girl Blush. It is one of the better, if not the best flanker of the Good Girl line.

You may argue that GGB is just another likeable floral you have smelled one hundred times before; however, it is not like that. Yes, it is mass-pleasing and romantic; nevertheless, it has the same edge the OG Good Girl has. GGB is innocent and pretty but a little bit naughty too, and that is why I find it signature-worthy and versatile. It is for those ladies who like creamy florals with a solid sultry base.

Very Good Girl Glam: Midnight Romance

Very Good Girl Glam by Carolina Herrera
Woody Floral
Quentin Bisch, Louise Turner, Shyamala Maisondieu

Very Good Girl Glam is a dauntless and opulent olfactory structure. There is a lot in common with the original bright red stiletto of Very Good Girl but also a few nuances where VGG and VGGG differ. Both of the fragrances are tart and sweet at the same time yet VGGG is more profound and woodier. While Very Good Girl is teasing and lively, Glam is hot and glamorous. It goes more in the sassy direction of Hypnotic Poison by Dior.

We can find sour cherry and almond at the top, rose and lily in the heart, and the base is composed of bourbon vanilla and vetiver. The difference between the two is much more noticeable when the perfume dries down. It is when Glam becomes snuggly and carnal whereas the original one stays young in heart and less serious.

I am a fan of the original Very Good Girl and so as of Very Goog Girl Glam. There are times when both scents can come across little bit cheap and artificial but still, they are both worth having in your collection, especially if you do not want to go niche.

Good Girl: Work Hard, Play Harder

Good Girl by Carolina Herrera
Amber Floral
Louise Turner

I was avoiding Good Girl for quite some time. Although I adored the bottle idea, I have heard other reviewers saying that Good Girl is a mishmash of everything. In the end, I jumped on the train and tried the original Good Girl for myself, and I am pleasantly surprised. There is a reason why this scent is so popular among the masses.

It is sweet, likeable and sexy. I was expecting something deeper and darker based on the bottle, the scent is however sort of fresh from my point of view. Right away, it reminds me of two other perfumes and these are Nuit Pour Femme by Hugo Boss and Little Balck Dress by Avon. You can notice that we stay in this less expensive to medium-priced category and so is Good Girl. Although it smells good, do not expect amazing quality and lasting. It is what it is and I like it for that.

It can serve as a clubbing fragrance if you are a student or are not going anywhere too fancy. At the same time, Good Girl will make a solid companion for a fall and winter daytime. Yes, it is fresh enough to be rocked during the day as well as carnal enough at night.

Very Good Girl Carolina Herrera

Floral Fruity
Perfumer: Louise Turner, Quentin Bisch

Very Good Girl is a new release from Carolina Herrera’s successful range Good Girl. The range became popular not only for the scents but especially for the catchy stiletto bottles. Very Good Girl is a simple yummy fragrance right up in my alley and it is quite a departure from the original dark Good Girl.

VGG is bright, fruity yet still sensual scent for girls and women. It contains litchi and red currant which stay for quite a while. Then there is beautiful rose in the middle and vanilla and vetiver in the base. It is very much litchi and rose perfume. The initial sharpness reminds me of Delina by PDM. It is a good solid dupe for Delina but of course, not as complexed and layered as Delina is. With that being said, I absolutely love it and definitely enjoy wearing it. One does not feel as guilty when splashing on the very expensive Delina. VGG can easily become one of my favorites.

Ideal for every day-wear, sophisticated, modern and funky at the same time.

212 Sexy Carolina Herrera

Luscious 212 Sexy appears to be cloying. No wonder, the scent contains cotton candy and vanilla. Except for sweet, it’s also musky and spicy. The first impression is strong but in time the perfume gets weaker and weaker and finally, fades away. Not the best layering and lasting power! At the end of day, I don’t see anything special to it.

Maybe a good deodorant but not a scent which would take my breath away. 30/100
