Nomade Nuit d’Egypte: Tribute to Orange Blossom

Nomade Nuit d’Egypte Chloé
Amber Floral
Juliette Karagueuzoglou

Gaby Aghion, the Egyptian born founded the house of Chloé in 1952. She started to use the expression “prêt-à-porter” fashion ready to wear, no need for a tailor. Her designs represent French femininity and youth, her fragrance Nomade Nuit d’Egypte celebrates Alexandria, Egypt, the place she was born in 1921.

Nomade Nuit d’Egypte is nothing like the original Nomade which is mainly the scent of mirabelle and moss, fresh and earthy. Nomade Nuit d’Egypte is an orange blossom scent with spicy amber nuances. There is also a heavy dose of vanilla awaiting in the base. Do not get too excited about myrrh and cinnamon in the opening. I can barely smell them.

Although it has an amber character, it is still very much a designer floral scent. Likable, sweet, feminine, elegant. It follows the trends established by My Way by Armani, Prada Paradox, or even Donna by Trussardi. A gorgeous perfume for a general female audience. A valentine gift which is hard to dislike. I like amber florals and as I have Paradox in my perfume wardrobe, I do not feel the urgency to buy Nomade Nuit d’Egypte, even though the story behind the fragrance is beautiful. Cheers to that!

Perfume Empties in 2023: 28 bottles

I cannot believe I have used up 28 perfume bottles in 2023. Yay! Okay, okay, minis, travel sizes, but full sizes too. I have to show mostly summer feminine scents but some heavy stuff also. You can look forward to Vetiver D’Hiver by Armani Prive, Delina La Rosee by PDM, Figues & Agrumes by Maison Lancome and much more.

It is a great feeling to not only display the fragrances but actually use them and enjoy them. In other words, to spice up your daily routine with a bit of aroma. There is something magical about a fragrance … and to see me tenaciously going through them brings me joy. I created this video for you to enjoy as well.

Chloé Naturelle: Fragranced Harry Houdini

Chloé Eau de Parfum Naturelle by Chloé
Floral
Michel Almairac

Chloé has a specific signature-worthy DNA – dewy soapy rose with a litchi and cedar background. It is good for lasting and sells well worldwide although recently they experience a bit of a backlash. The fragrance and all its flankers were so popular that its chromosome almost lost its charm. It is the Nomade line that stole the show.

Anyway, I wore the original Chloé EDP from 2008 a ton. In 2021 they brought out Naturelle to bring back the former glory of Chloé. Was it worth it? Let me elaborate on that. The scent is pleasant, organic roses with green nuances still a little bit soapy. A nice fresh spring rose for any age. A walk in the park. Easy no-brainer.

As much as it is a feasible grab-and-go kind of perfume, it is also an escape master. After literally 30 minutes the scent is gone. Boom! Out of nowhere! Like Houdini! I happily went through my sample, I had a good time but I am about to move forward. Thank you but next!

Summer Fragrances Day and Night

Summers are usually hot and humid and this time requires a special selection of fragrances. We are looking for scents that are light, fresh, sparkling for the day. For the night, we want to add little extra something. In this video, I prepared six perfumes for the summer daytime and three for the night. I included professional work perfumes, flirty and sexy scents as well as super casual fragrances. I did not forget about tropical beachy aromas together with relaxing perfume choices. Sit back, relax and enjoy watching 🙂 xoxo

Nomade Chloé

Chypre Floral
Perfumer: Quentin Bisch

Nomade Chloé is a departure from the floral and powdery Chloé we know and adore. Nomade is still bright and signature worthy but courageous and mysterious, bolder and more mature.

Mirabelle makes the composition zesty and sweet in the opening. The main flower in the middle is freesia which brings spicy vibes and powder. Interestingly, there is a dominant oakmoss base note and that is why I see a slight similarity to Bottega Veneta. Nomade is indeed not the easiest one to wear. It can turn out quite aromatic, leaning more masculine. You need to give it a time to grow on you.

Because it is neither overly sweet and sexy nor heavy and heady, it is suitable during the day – work, meetings, it takes in all in small doses.

A woody, fruity and mossy adventure for the day. 50/100

Chloé Rose Tangerine Chloé

Floral Fruity
Perfumer: Sidonie Lancesseur, Michel Almairac

The original Chloé EDP was my wedding scent and it worked out splendidly, so you can guess “I am a fan”.

In fact, I love all the Chloés. They all have the up-to-date warm rose DNA so typical for the brand. The Rose Tangerine Chloé is juicy and edgy on top of that. Chloé has always been about natural beauty – it smells very real, right now right here. Do not be discouraged by EDT or a Floral-Fruity perfume family. Its lasting power and sillage are pretty impressive actually.

Do you need to buy Chloé Rose Tangerine? Absolutely, but … if you already own any other Chloé, you are good to go as they are quite alike. 90/100

Love Chloé

Love is a traditional perfume by Chloe. Almost old school in the best possible way. It’s a unique combination of powdery and fresh, sophisticated and soft. Love smells a bit like soap that our mothers used to use.

I didn’t like it that much on the paper but I like it on my skin a lot. It’s a beautiful mixture of purple florals – iris, hyacinth, heliotrope, lilac and wisteria.

Strangely enough, there are even powdery notes and rice as a note, yes you are reading it well. I recieved compliments, it does have a great projectivity. Even though the dry down is exquisite, I prefer the opening much more.

If you are just a bit conservative, Love is for you. It’s a classy  lady who knows what she likes and what she doesn’t like. 80/100

Roses De Chloé Chloé

Roses De Chloé is powdery but less than the original Chloé. As the name says, it’s more of a flowery based fragrance than anything else. The roses are not fresh though. It has a heavier undertone; just enough to be used also at night.

I’m personally not impressed with Roses De Chloé. I think that the original or even L’Eau de Chloé is much better. It’s not bad though, just doesn’t stick in one’s memory.

Roses De Chloé – roses and magnolia with a hint of wood. 50/100

@all: Hey guys, rate Chloé, if you think it’s good, give it 50 and more, if you think it’s not so good, rate under 50 🙂

Chloé Chloé

Chloé is a romantic masterpiece! I have a 10 ml sample and can’t wait to have a full bottle. It mainly consists of floral components which complement each other beautifully. The fragrance is powdered, just the amount and consistency – it does turn out neither too heavy nor too light. I’ve smelled nothing like that in my entire life; it can’t be mistaken for another scent.

If you’re a chick and open-minded lady, you will get many compliments when sharing your life with Chloé.

Chloé is like an exceptionally beautiful day in dreamy Paris. 90/100

@all: Do you think that Chloé could be your signature scent?

See By Chloé Chloé

See By Chloe smells like a funky sweet perfume for confident girls on paper; however it smells like simple floral for freshening up on skin. I’m not a fan. Okay, you can wear this vanilla floral anytime anywhere thumbs up for its inoffensiveness and adaptability; nonetheless, it’s all it offers. Based on my experience, original Chloe Chloe, slightly powdery floral, has a character, in comparison to ordinary See.

Flowers plus vanilla. Nothing that hasn’t been done before. 40/100

@all: Is See By Chloe Chloe unbeatable or disastrous?
