Elie Saab’s perfumes

Girl of Now Shine Elie Saab

Amber Floral
Perfumer: Dominique Ropion, Sophie Labbé

Girl of Now Shine is a pleasant surprise. It is a delicious warm almond-vanilla scent. I get Poison Girl vibes. It is sensual but does not take itself too seriously, it is playful and comfortable.

I was afraid of the pineapple note at the top but I do not detect it. The opening is just fruity, rich and nutty to me. The heart is almondy and floral – orange blossom, jasmine, ylang-ylang. The base is mainly vanillic. It is a gorgeous delight for fall and winter, lush in texture. One must like sweet and nutty fragrances though. I can imagine Girl of Now Shine being overwhelming for fainthearted.

It is strong in projection and looong-lasting. I guess that we could call Girl of Now Shine a more gourmand dupe of Poison girl. The beauty by Dior is still my favourite but Girl of now shine is not bad at all.

A gourmand powerhouse yet an easy reach perfume for a lazy night in.

Orange Blossom & Vanilla Fragrances

Floral, Amber Floral, Amber Vanilla

If you are familiar with my blog, you know I love orange blossom and vanilla combinations in my perfumes. I know already a lot of fragrances with this note profile and I keep comparing one to another in my posts. Hence I thought it would be more practical to do a run down of orange blossom and vanilla perfumes in one video. Orange blossom and vanilla together create a lush, exotic, sweet combo that I am fascinated about. I have picked seven scents and two honorable mentions. I also give recommendations which climate and time of the day they are suitable for. Relax and enjoy the ride 🙂 xoxo

Le Parfum Elie Saab

Amber Floral
Perfumer: Francis Kurkdjian

Le Parfum is a hidden jam. It opens with a beautiful orange flower, followed by jasmine. The base contains honey, patchouli, rose and cedar. I love every single note. The blend is stunning.

It is hard to compare Le Parfum to other fragrances. There are perfumes out there containing orange blossom and jasmine for sure, but not quite like Le Parfum by Elie Saab. It is very elegant, serious and rich. I get Arabic vibes. Because I prefer lighter scents in general, I think Le Parfum Ellie Saab is more sort of a special occasion scent. I can wear it to an important event during the day or a dinner with clients during the night.

It is surprisingly good, and it is a solid choice for a beginner perfume collection.

Luxury in a bottle. Jasmine is a must for any elegant lady. 90/100

Resort Collection Elie Saab

Resort Collection is very sharp and fresh. I smell mainly white floral. It’s supposed to remind us of warm weather, or a relaxed, holiday atmosphere, beach and sun. Surprisingly, I don’t feel this exotic vibe at all. And wearing it, no, it doesn’t remind me of a tropical paradise full of sunshine and I honestly think that floral-fruity Ralph by Ralph Lauren is a better choice.

The truth is though that I wore Resort Collection in winter and it may be possible that this summer scent didn’t get as much opportunity to develop as it should.

Fresh and sharp Elie Saab, a fierce white floral. 50/100
