You know I do not take perfume purchases lightly and I am committed to use up my beloved fragrance bottles. If I seriously do not like a scent, I either return it or re-sell it as soon as possible. The most of my perfumes I am using and enjoying my life with them. Fragrance makes makes me feel alive!

You Or Someone Like You: Mint with Citrus and Cassis

I feel that Etat Libre d’Orange is such an underrated brand. And it does not deserve to be. The fragrance names are sometimes outrageous and silly but the juice inside is what matters. You or Someone Like You is one of their bestsellers if not the bestseller. It is meant to represent a sophisticated LA woman full of dreams and ambitions. She is effortless yet persistent, and goes on and on no matter what.

You or Someone Like You is definitely an elegant scent. I would add that it can be worn by an LA woman as well as an LA man, or anyone in a hot humid climate to be precise. It is a refreshing elevated scent to wear at any contemporary party. A pool function, garden celebration, cocktail reunion to name a few. I wore it to my son’s friend’s birthday and it fit perfectly.

The best thing is that you can wear it casually also if you want to appear upper-class or bougier. As soon as I smelled this scent, I felt yes, it was me. This minty heaven will be my formal summer fragrance. What a blind buy! Thank you Chris for your recommendation.

Remarkable People is an ambery spicy fragrance but incredibly light and sparkling. I am used to amber being warm, heavy and oriental. Remarkable People actually is a fresh scent. And that is what I love about Etat Libre d’Orange. They take a typical note profile, turn it upside down and twist it. As a result, you differentiate yourself from the crowd, but your scent is likeable and easily wearable. It is similar to Noel au Balcon by the same brand. Totally festive perfume which can be worn casually with jeans and a T-shirt.

Is Remarkable People a full bottle worthy? If you are a regular on alexaperfumes, you know I am not into ambery fragrances. Remarkable People is a remarkable dewy refreshing amber, but, in the end of the day, once amber – always amber. It is not a fragrance that calls my name, but as I said, absolutely doable amber.

However, if you are into amber and at the same time, you are sick of dense kitchen spices smells, enlighten your senses with Remarkable People. It is a sophisticated and uplifting niche fragrance with no harsh edges worth your attention.
