Butterfly: A Rollout of Sticky and Sweet in the 90s

Hanae Mori by Hanae Mori Butterfly
Amber
Bernard Ellena

Hanae Mori is a Japanese fashion designer. Her perfume from 1996 Butterly is meant to be a fruity bomb. Imagine a cocktail of strawberry, blackberry, blueberry and black currant. I love my berries and sadly, I do not get any of the above. Butterly is an ambery floral scent, based on my experience. I smell ylang-ylang, sandalwood and amber.

The fragrance is a sweeter stickier Sexy Amber by Michael Kors. Unfortunately, the lasting power and projection are pretty good, especially for an Eau de Toilette. Frag people compare Butterfly to Ylanf in Gold by M. Micallef which I do not like either. A long story short, this perfume falls into ambery sweet scents with no zest. I know that a taste in fragrance changes over time but at this point, it is not my vibe. It is on my return items list.
