CK One Calvin Klein: A Giant Household Name

CK One by Calvin Klein
Citrus Aromatic
Alberto Morillas and Harry Fremont

I have tried several CK fragrances but I got my hands on CK One only now. This soapy clean classic was created in 1994 and is a lemony green scent for both boys and girls. I say boys and girls because this aromatic perfume gives me certain young vibes. It is light and citrusy with white floral and woody accords. The frosted bottle is iconic and original. I really like it as it reflects the genderless quality of CK One perfectly.

Speaking of the juice itself, it is an inoffensive, spritz and off-you-go type of aroma. I would not buy a bottle for myself but I must admit that this fresh shampoo scent has its fans and is targeted well.

Do you need CK One? At the end of the day, it is a legend among cheap perfumes and is something you will use up extremely fast. Definitely a pleasant experience. So, why not?

Light Blue Dolce&Gabbana

Floral Fruity
Perfumer: Olivier Cresp

Light Blue became a contemporary summer classic and I can see why. The Blue aroma is pleasantly evoking. You suddenly think of Porquerolles, Saint Tropez or Cannes. It has it all – fruits, flowers, woods; femininity and a bit of masculinity too.

Unfortunately, as many other citrus fragrances, the scent quickly fades away, and gradually but surely, you find yourself back in reality of your week days back home. It’s a pity that Light Blue does not stick around. It feels like you are not deserving? Hence Dolce&Gabanna made an intensive longer lasting version which is better.

Despite all of that Light Blue manages to be both citrus fresh and smooth ultra sexy at the same time. Not many scents can achieve that.

Blue is your “light” vacation dream comes true. 80/100
