Aura Mugler EDT: Do You Believe in Guilty Pleasures?

Aura EDT by Mugler
Floral Fruity
Olivier Cresp

Aura by Mugler has been gradually vanishing from store shelves globally. I am late to the party and picked up a bottle just in time. I aimed for the Eau de Parfum but as it has become scarce, I was lucky to end up at least with the Eau de Toilette.

So, it has a tart fruity opening. You have pear, rhubarb and strawberry, then a huge potion of greenery grounded with vanilla and musk mallow. It is an unusual step from Mugler and brings definitely more to the table than your typical floral fruity.

I admit I enjoy it. It is not a huge projector but rather a delicate beauty. I just got this perfume and I already made a decent dent. Plus, the jungle advertisement is quite fitting.

Do I recommend it to you guys? Hmmm, although it is not groundbreaking in 2023, if you are a 90’s chick, go and grab it. It is a nostalgic piece which actually does not disappoint. Last but not least, there is a sense of rarity to the acquisition.

Princess Vera Wang

Princess is a soft, sweet, fruity scent. I got compliments on this vanilla fragrance. It’s not bad but based on the sample I’ve tried, I wouldn’t buy it. I am just not that into it and certainly, I couldn’t detect it on anyone else.

However, if you’re not really a “perfume person” but still want to wear something slightly sweet and delicate, Princess will be nice company. Or if you don’t know which present to buy a teenage niece or daughter, she will be happy to get princess, I can guarantee that.

Refreshing, fine and sweet. Anytime when the girls want to have fun. 40/100

Miss Dior Christian Dior

Miss Dior is simple in notes yet complex in layering. It solely consists of five notes: mandarin, rose, jasmine, musk and patchouli. The scent is delicate and delightful; fruity floral. It slightly reminds me of J’Adore but maybe better. It would perfectly suit a romantic lady who can’t decide whether she likes fruity gourmet fragrances or subtle flower fragrances. Miss Dior offers a beautiful mix of both in the best possible way. It’s sweeter than J’Adore but not overly sweet. I’d recommend it for a warmer day.

Miss Dior is a juicy, inoffensive floral fruity. I can’t see anything that could possibly go wrong. 70/100

@all: Do you prefer Miss Dior to J’Adore or vice versa?

Omnia Green Jade Bvlgari

Omnia Green Jade is like a day in a luxurious spa.

This scent is wonderful in its own way. It’s a perfect mix of green tea, pistachio and wood to me. It’s more of a perfume for yourself rather than for those around you. I reckon that people aren’t going to compliment you everywhere you go because this scent isn’t intoxicating, screaming “sniff me, I’m so delicious and addictive”. But you will know about your Omnia Green Jade and how comfortable and relaxed it makes you feel and that’s all that matters.

An intimate gentle comforting fragrance for a young girl or a grown-up lady. 90/100

Pink Sweet & Flirty Victoria’s Secret

I love berries. According to my taste, there is never enough wild berries in a flacon. In Sweet & Flirty, is almost enough 🙂

Hurray, a lot of berries! You can find blueberries, blackberries or cranberries in this liquid. They are accompanied by citrus fruit and sugar. I’m not happy to have sugar in a perfume but considering the amount of sour fruit inside, sugar is more than needed here. It is a nicely balanced combination after all.

I used to wear Sweet & Flirty on a daily basis; it stands out more during warm months. It made me feel cheerful, energised and fun. Such a “cute little” scent. So if you are not a fussy person and want to enjoy every single day like it was your last – happily and spontaneously, you will have a great time with Sweet & Flirty.

An easy to wear, playful fragrance for happy days. 80/100
