Giorgio Armani’s perfumes

Diamonds Emporio Giorgio Armani

This fragrance is ultimately sweet and gourmand, with many beautiful flowers on top of that. Fruit notes also don’t appear scarcely in the mixture: you can find litchi and raspberry which add a sparky and bubbly touch to the composition. A more serious edge is secured by patchouli and rose; however, the rose is not a typical one and definitely doesn’t add the rose smell we are used to in rose fragrances. It’s a sort of more gentle, softer rose bit. The sweetness is made by vanilla and is relatively “sweet sweet”.

The perfume overall is not exactly strong though, but detectable. If you’re the kind of person who is afraid of bold fragrances but still, wants to wear something pretty detectable, Diamonds Emporia is for you. It’s ideal for summer or the office. 80/100

Acqua di Gioia Giorgio Armani

Fresh fruity floral for spring and summer.

It would be just another “okay” composition for hot summer days if it didn’t have vodka musk in it. I can’t help it but this note makes it smell artificial and dull. On top of that, the lasting power of this fresh fragrance is limited; the sillage is also weak. Are you a fragrance fanatic? Not really? This scent could be a good starting point for you – light, easy to wear.

Acqua di Gio doesn’t make a strong statement but can serve well when you we get off public transport or from a stuffy pub. 50/100

@all: I’d be delighted to hear your thoughts on Acqua di Gioia.
