Sun by Jil Sander
Amber Floral
Pierre Bourdon
With Jil Sander Sun we go back to 1989 when this fragrance was created. Unique at the time, Sun is a warm summery beachy scent. We get sweet and sun-tanny nuances right away. The composition has prominent y-lang – y-lang, heliotrope, vanilla and benzoin. Smelling it 30 years later since its creation, it is a decent tropical perfume. Affordable and still good.
Soleil Blanc by Tom Ford is let’s say a more elevated and complex version of Jil Sunder Sun. But with that being said, I almost prefer Sun. Yes, maybe it is less modern but somehow I find it more wearable, simpler. A dumb reach to wear on holidays, in a good way.
