Mojave Ghost Byredo

Amber Floral

This is my second fragrance from the Swedish brand Byredo. The first one is the super popular Gypsy Water that I enjoy more in the air as a room scent rather than something that you wear. Mojave Ghost does not even make a good room scent! It has been compared to Chance Eau Tendre which I am not a fan of either; so probably, I should have known better. Oh, well.

There is an interesting note of sapodilla in the opening which is a special type of fruit, rather dry, almost nutty. It does not work well with me. And later, the combination of magnolia, violet and sandalwood. Considering I do not enjoy any of these, I really don’t know what I was thinking. This is a disaster!

On the other hand, the scent is pretty unique and unisex, you cannot deny that. It has been inspired by calming nature of The Mojave Desert in California.

All in all, I am sad to realise that many niche brands do not work for me in my everyday routine, and so far, Byredo included.

Mojave Ghost is a soft woody floral-fruity aroma, smells niche and does not work.
