Valentino Donna Born In Roma Yellow Dream Valentino

Floral

Donna Born In Roma Yellow Dream is lemony and sweet – feels like a sour lollipop on your skin. The citrus intake is almost headache-inducing. I usually like simple fragrances, but Yellow Dream is a straightforward lemon in a bottle. I am not a fan. Luckily, I have only a sample. If I had a bottle, it would be on its way already. It reminds me of Eros by Versace which is also a no-go area.

On the other hand, I must admit that Donna Born in Roma Yellow Dream is not a typical freshie that is fairly light and instantly gone with the wind. There is a lot of white musk that makes the fragrance last and project. Musk also adds a mature edge to it. Yellow Dream is a quality perfume if you like this note profile.

If you like your musky lemon, wear it like a queen with Yellow Dream.

Romance Ralph Lauren

Chamomile and ginger, who could’ve thought? I would never guessed 🙂 Rose yes, rose I can detect. Romance is, what I would call, a soapy floral but not necessarily in a good way. The longevity and sillage are moderate.I reckon that Romance was designed as a summery fresh scent but quite frankly didn’t meet its expectations. It’s not too bad, it definitely doesn’t offend anyone as it’s relatively soft but it’s not exactly exciting either.  I’ve only got a sample now and it’s going to stay this way for quite some time.

A soft creamy floral, a little bit boring for me. 40/100

Alexaperfumes – how I work

It’s possible that it came to your mind how come I can review the many perfumes. The explanation is simple. I either own full bottles of some of the perfumes I reviewed or I ordered 10ml samples. In light of this, I always give every perfume at least a several day trial. I try to be as impartial as possible and also try to review every fragrance in different scenarios. However, what I cannot influence is the weather or time of the year. For example, when it’s summer I can’t review the scent in cold weather; I can only guess how it would develop based on my experience and passion for perfumes.

In addition, you have noticed that I involve my friends in the production of my blog posts. My friends usually present their signature perfumes, perfumes they have known for years so I truly believe they have the capacity to describe the fragrance for you in the highest possible standard.

Last but not least, you may have noticed that I’ve been keeping this blog running in my free time; and therefore, sometimes it happens that I don’t publish regularly. So please, don’t get discouraged by that. There may be time when I’m quiet but I promise, it’s never forever and I always come back to my passion.

@all: Which perfume would you like me to review next time?

Have a great day!
Alexa 🙂
